Education That Fuses Academics, Arts and Nature
Using our stunning Siskiyou Mountain home as our classroom, we aim to deepen our students’ understanding of their unique place in the world through experiential, project-based learning.
Our curriculum integrates thematic core subjects with field studies, exploring our relationships with both human and natural communities.
The program also includes monthly field trips, and three multi-day learning expeditions within our bioregion to strengthen inquiry and foster connections within our learning community.
Meet Lead Educator,
Corbin Brashear
Corbin Brashear is a dedicated and creative educator with 30 years of experience working with children. Her passion lies in nurturing the inherent love of learning in every child.
Corbin combines her background as a naturalist and outdoor school educator with years in the classroom, teaching both middle and elementary school ages. For the past 15 years, she has served as a resident artist in schools and has taught fiber arts in galleries and museums throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Corbin’s experience facilitating Pacifica’s outdoor education programs and running her children’s theater company, Kindness Matters, contributes to her unique teaching style.
Her approach integrates arts, nature, and strong academics, fostering the development of the whole child.
In Partnership With Pacifica
Since 1999, Pacifica has served the Southern Oregon community with its 420-acre natural reserve, nature center, botanical garden, educational sites and community center. This partnership will bring many benefits and opportunities to our program.
